What is Beautify Hamilton?

Instead of viewing ourselves as an organization that coordinates cleanups, we see ourselves as being a movement to empower local residents of Hamilton to beautify the city by taking ownership of our spaces. And it just made sense to start with cleaning up the litter.

How we came about:

The tipping point behind creating Beautify Hamilton started during the pandemic. In such a frightening and uncertain time, many people (us included) found opportunities to mend their minds by exploring all that Hamilton as a city has to offer. By doing so, we noticed countless areas in need of some TLC, and as a community, we hope to give it the care it deserves.

What we hope to acheive:

We hope that our work can inspire volunteers around our community to join in our efforts towards a cleaner city. As we grow and gain a following, we hope to dive into a variety of avenues that help to beautify Hamilton. From clean parks to murals and community gardens, we hope that our goal can be achieved together, as a community.
